This is a new version of our native Portuguese sheep breeds map published in 2019, created alongside our work to enhance the profile of Portuguese wool and raise awareness of the natural and cultural heritage of Portugal.

There are 16 native sheep breeds in Portugal, most of which are at risk of extinction. Our yarn production currently uses the wool of 7 of these breeds, and we continue working to find ways to bring even more Portuguese wool to our daily lives.
