The Story
These hot pot trivets are made from natural cork, manually cut and assembled. The cork is directly cut out from the cork bark, making each piece unique in its shape and structure.
The designs are inspired by what the old cork factory workers did with the production leftovers — the rectangular small parts called “quadros” were discarded when not suitable to make perfect corks.
These were then taken home and used to make trivets, mats and artworks.
Dimensions: Ø 20 x 1,5 cm

Crafted in the Algarve, Portugal.
