Handwoven rag rug

These rugs are handwoven in Alentejo from rags cut from post-consumer waste (old clothes). They are extremely hardwearing and can be machine washed in warm water. Rag blankets and rugs have been documented in Portugal since the 16th century and they are still a favorite in our kitchens and bathrooms. Ideal for picnics, for the beach and also for indoor use.

Each rug is unique.
